Default NHS website: good starting point for advice

Visit the following website for lots of advice on health topics. There is a useful facility to search for support near your postcode. Under the 'Live Well' drop down you can select 'alcohol' and on right under 'Services near you' you can put in your post code. This facility is only available to UK Warriors. I'm not sure if those outside the UK will be able to access the page.

You can also find sections on smoking, mental health and healthy eating.

Default List of resources in North America

I've seen alcoholism in my family for years. I often wonder (hope) that it will skip me from one of my parents. I've been lucky enough to work with a project online at http://www.free-rehab.com. Billed by the builders as a resource that will ALWAYS BE FREE it offers 15,000 Drug Addiction Treatment Centers in the United States and Canada, so maybe it would be good for those outside the UK? The site offers Free Support forums and online live, anonymous group meetings.

Hope this helps.
