Yikes! spotlight on me....Thanks Harry, not gonna let me sneak by eh?
And thanks everybody for the congrats. Quite a community we have here.
I took a picture of this subject 18 ish months ago and this version a sober year later maybe five months ago.
To me it symbolizes what WQD is all about.

Life and death.
A soul lost in the drink and a life ring....
Below is a bit from a post yesterday. This is a good spot for it......
So, it's been two years and a day since I joined WQD and I don't know what to say....
Two years ago today I went to lunch with the fam. It was day two. I was sick and shakey and scared. Quitting was unimaginable but it was clear alcohol was killing me. There was a glimmer of hope as I had found a support group the day before....
Today, we went to lunch at the same place and I have an inner piece and contentment and strength that I couldn't imagine two years ago. Kinda surreal.
Unbelievable how beaten down I was from alco-hell. I had been drinking so long I didn't know what it felt like to feel good in body and in mind. Two years ago I had heard the term *recovery* but it did not mean anything to me. Today, I understand what it means. Recovery is a very beautiful thing.
To anybody who may read these words do not be afraid to quit alcohol.
Quitting alco-hell is truly freedom.
Simple, Easy, Powerful.
