I will gladly take a seat and take a load off my hooves for a bit.:p

A year ago today I was a different person. I was fraught with anxiety, unsure, shaking. I didn’t like myself very much. I was an accident waiting to happen!

Since then all my cells have been replaced and I am renewed. I look much better. I FEEL much better. My brain function continues to improve. My balance, my handwriting, my verbal recall, my memory are improved. Recent studies have shown that women are very much more impacted by heavy drinking than men. I’m glad I made it out with some brain cells intact.

I am proud of myself and happy that I can be the example to my children that I want to be. I’m not continuing the cycle of alcoholism that runs in my family. I’ve broken that chain. I’m never going back!:D

Amanda, you have said many things that have stuck with me. Among them is the time you said not to worry about making lists or doing too much, that everything will just follow as a result of not drinking. Thank you for that insight. And congratulations on one whole year, a fabulous milestone.

Amanda

A year seems so far ahead of me .. so long down the road .. but hearing you talk about it .. it makes it seem very do-able and gives me so much hope.

Thank you for your description about how much better you feel. Gives me more and more reasons to keep at this.

Thanks for being an inspiration.

Hugs,

Nice going Amanda,

Congratulations on making the One Year Milestone!

From experience, I think, that one year club list has got to be one of the greatest lists to make. Now who will be next.

That....is worth its weight in gold!!

Congratulations Amanda...feels great to have than chain off doesnt it? Keep up the hard work....even though its hopefully gotten a little easier.

Always wanted to ask...did you like horses as a little girl? I played with horses instead of dolls...and now my daughter does the same thing. :)
