Be honest with yourself
Make not drinking your #1 priority
Remember today is tomorrow, do it right now!!
Why am I quitting?
What are my benefits for quitting?
What is my goal?
Make a list of reasons!
don't drink
Eat well
Get rid of all alcohol
Remember you will never feel as bad as your worse hangover
Find a substitute drink
You may need some sleep aids, vitamins and Epsom salts
Love your self
Laugh
Post a lot
Start a Diary
Remember you have friends here who know what you are going through and will help
Remember every morning why you wanted to quit
Don't plan to drink tomorrow
find SOMETHING to do with the extra time on your hands
Plan alternative activities during your normal drinking times
Identify triggers to drinking, pre-plan ways to deal with them or avoid them until you can deal with them
Get a hug
Give a hug
Don't just be sober, be happy.
Get and read a good book
Most goal that are not attained were never written down
29. Get a white board and put down things you need to get done (You can not say you are bored
this way)
Today is a dam good day to not drink
Flip off your drinking establishments instead of avoiding them, the royal bird sent to the local pubs as you drive or wander by.
Don't overthink
NEVER be hungry. HUNGRY = CRAVINGS.
Ask yourself what value alcohol holds for you. Take each answer and analyze it and try to see it for what it really is.
