Welcome to the We Quit Drinking Message Board!
Welcome to the completely free support club for folks trying to quit drinking alcohol.
WQD-Netwarriors is an independent, non affiliated group of men and women from all over the world who are sharing in their quest to remove alcohol from their lives. There is no registration required to read posts, but if you would like to post, or if you would like to respond to a posting, we encourage you to register today!
Membership is open to any person, regardless of race, religion, social orientation, or political beliefs, who is thinking of quitting drinking, is quitting drinking, or has quit drinking, regardless of method used to quit drinking.
HOW DO I POST?
First of all, be sure and register.
To post a new message, click on the topic you wish to post under, and then click on “Post New Thread.” You may be prompted to log-in using your registration name and password. Make sure to fill in the subject line, as well as the body of the message. Click on “Submit New Thread.” You will be brought back to the main topic you were posting under, where you will see your post at the top.
If this is your first time posting, take a moment to introduce yourself and
tell us who you are! Someone is bound to welcome you, and before you know it, you'll find support and friendship from folks going through all stages of kicking the booze.
To reply to a message, click on the message, and simply scroll down to the bottom, where there is a button that says "Reply to thread." You may be prompted to log in, if you haven't already. Once you have logged in, WQD will automatically take you to wherever you were prior to being prompted to log in.
The order of posts depends on the most current reply. Posts with the most
current information stay at the top, while older posts move towards the
bottom. Check the date of the most recent response to find out how current the post is. You can also see the last individual who has posted to the post, to the right of the post subject line under the topic.
NO RULES - JUST BE CONSIDERATE.
There are no dues, contracts, rules or regulations. Please be respectful of your fellow poster - we are all here for the same reason. Off-topic posts should be posted under the appropriate headings (i.e. humor and other under "DMZ", General questions under "Ask WQD", etc.)
THE SHOUTBOX
The shoutbox at the top of the page is a real-time chat. Once you register, you will be able to post in the shoutbox. Please realize that anyone, registered or not, can read posts in the shoutbox.
LASTLY - SUGGESTIONS WHEN POSTING, AND A STATEMENT OF CAUTION:
Post what you like, but be courteous! While the posts are not judged for content, please note the board is monitored for lewd or threatening posts and trolls. Be aware that the webmaster reserves the right to remove posts deemed by the website owner to be inappropriate.
WORD OF CAUTION: Please use caution when giving personal information to strangers. The internet (like anything else) isn't totally safe. The best advice is that you obtain a free email box at such sites as yahoo or hotmail, specifically for communicating with the people you meet on this message board. Because WQD-Netwarriors takes no responsibility in the action of individuals who post on this message board, use common sense when providing strangers with contact information.
