Any feelings/experience on/with using Listerine in a quit? Is the dermal absorption of the alcohol a problem?

If it's unacceptable, what would be a good alternative? I'm now using the purple Listerine with 6 features: kills germs, strengthens enamel, prevents cavities, cruise control, etc.

Thanks, Que!

Hey,

I use an alcohol free version of Colgate mouthwash when I feel the need. (Product placement! ACK!!)

I tried the regular and found that it started up cravings. I'm super sensitive to ANY alcohol, but not everyone is. It's not a matter of "Will this count?" but wanting to avoid starting up the physical reaction.

Hope this helps.

The amount of alcohol you'll absorb from mouthwash is negligible. Still, if it bothers you, this stuff (http://www.prohealthcanada.ca/faqsrinse.php) is supposed to just as effective. It is fairly new here, and I'm not sure if this brand is available in the UK. This is Crest brand, but any product that contains cetylpyridinium chloride as the active ingredient will work.

Thanks, Everybody! I hooked it up with some Act Total Care. Strong teeth and no worries!

Careful with the above referenced Crest product:

I'd go with Toms of maine.
