So, I got into smoking shisha a couple years ago after years of quitting smoking cigarettes. I somehow fooled myself into thinking it wasn't as bad. Not quite as addicting and strong (although you end up smoking for a couple hours).
FINALLY, I quit that 4 months ago or so. Only point in saying this is a warning not to fool yourself with other tobacco forms-- still tobacco!

I smoked sheesha long before I smoked cigarettes-- for about two years, actually. I only did it 1-2 times a month with friends. Recently I graduated into cigarettes and have realized it has to stop, so it will.
My question for you is this: if you smoke sheesha occasionally do the cravings for tobacco come back? I ask because I will probably end up smoking with a friend of mine when I see him, but it will be very infrequently (maybe once every three months).

if you will "probably" smoke with a friend of yours good luck quitting.. sorry but that is a dumb ass idea; think about it.
What I meant was will probably smoke sheesha, not cigarettes. I totally agree about the cigarette part, though. I had quit for almost three months and had no cravings at all, but decided to have just a few with a friend and soon found myself craving tobacco again. I can't casually smoke cigarettes or cigars, so that's out.
What I'm wondering about is sheesha, though. I smoked it for several years 1-2 times a month with no cravings for tobacco whatsoever, it was only when I transitioned to cigarettes that it became a problem. I guess I would also like to know the health effects of smoking once every month or so, since if it's really risky to do even that I should give it up and never look back.
