A few hours ago (around 1:00 PM CT) for some reason I decided to drink. I drank quite a bit and I completely regretted it from the first sip. I have already induced vomiting twice and it made me feel a tad bit better, but I am still feeling drunk and just need to get rid of this feeling as soon as possible. I hvae been drinking water since and hope to have a nice meal shortly. Should I try and throw up more or just wait? I hate myself for even drinking, but I did for some dumb reason.

Huh,

I think I have had those experiences where I drank a whole lot in a little time, just to get drunk. Not the brightest thing to do.

I would say listen to your body. Throwing up is harsh on your system, my body usually chucks on its own until it is done and the poison is diluted enough. Ah memories.

Enjoy your dinner.

Rehydrate ~ lots of water. No more self-induced vomiting.

Vomiting will dehydrate you. The alcohol passes quickly out of your stomach into the bloodstream and carried to your organs and tissues, so there's not likely any left in your stomach now. Only time will get you sober, but the water will help your organs recover from the dehydrating effects of alcohol.

Thanks for the advice.

I hate myself for doing this because it's happened before and I have said it's not going to happen again. I don't know why I do it, but I do and it sucks.

I think I would rather be addicted to smoking than drinking.

Easy on the hating yourself. That will only lead to more drinking. Yes, we've all been disgusted with ourselves and seeming lack of ability to stop, but we have to climb out of that hole and get on with it.

Don't start smoking!!! I think it is way harder to quit smoking...at least booze can make you pass out. Admittedly, that is not a good thing, but smoking truly is ghastly. Please go easy on the barfing, bad for the teeth.

Keep on quitting!
