Anyone have thoughts on the big book on audiobook? or do you recommend a paper copy to make your own notes in it? Just curious on your thoughts...

I prefer the book because not only can I highlight parts that really help me but it is much easier to go back and find stuff when I want to. I do know of people who listen to it when they are in there cars so if you can get both then do it. I have never drank because I had too much recovery.

Hank was an alcoholic, I wouldn't be surprised if more of the founding members drank again. It comes with being an alcoholic.

There's no reason to turn a blind eye to the truth.

Alcohol is merciless killer. Its the reigning champ.

Year in and year out, it wins.

The fact that people try to quit tells you they know they need to quit. The fact that they go back despite themselves lets you know who is still in charge.

I find that information extremely interesting and not a negative.

I know the people that I see in meetings. SOme of them won't make it.

I just have to take care of myself.

back to the op.

I actually enjoy listening to speakers on mp3.

if you already have the bigbook, then getting mp3s put on a cd seems much more fun..

Ask your local AA groups to see if somebody has downloaded and put together CDs already.

50% is huge! I don't know of any recovery program including AA that even comes close to that today.

It doesn't matter what method you have used all of you in this forum are an inspiration to me.
