Beer in a ziploc bag with ice

So whats the craziest thing you did to insure you had alcohol when you were drinking? I used to put a beer in a ziploc bag with ice in it and put it in the console of my truck at lunch (I'd go home) so that after work I would have a cold beer for the drive home. Is that nuts or what? I thought nothing of it at the time. Can you imagine what people would think to know that? :o

I started going at lunch from work to get it because there is a shopping center with a liquor store and a beer disty in it a block away.
I would just feel 'better' knowing I was set, could go right home from work and get started. :eek:

Just made sure my fridge was always packed...I have one out in my garage and in my house. On long trips, a cooler was necessary and had to be easily accessible from the passenger compartment.

Well, when I would go skiing I would fill one ski pole with jd and one with coke, so I could have jd and coke. When it was cold the coke would freeze
so I just had to drink the jd straight :eek:

I started drinking really young. I can remember putting alcohol in a finesse shampoo bottle to take it on my senior trip. That crap tasted like soap in a big way, but ya know what? I drank it anyway.....yuck!

I used to stash bottles all over the place. In the tool box in my truck, in the garage, under the deck, in my desk. It was never far away and no one but me knew how much I was drinking since the majority of my consumption was out of sight. Weeks after I quit I was still running into empties and sometimes ones that weren't.

used to buy individual chocolate milks. chug half of it then pour in vodka, baily's and Kahlua shake and leave it in the car during the cold months. leave work let the car heat up scraping the windows drinking "chocolate milk" . during the warm months i would leave a cooler of ice in my trunk with a bottle of scotch and ginger ale and plenty of to-go cups with lids.

I would not do anything outside of work unless it invloved drinking. I never went to movies, and if it was a sporting event they better have beer there. My life was limited

Yeah I was like that too.

It was sad. I rarely was out in public sober. Actually I was rarely sober, unless I was working.

haha mine is pretty gross...
if i was having a party or at one...and all the alcohol was gone, and we couldnt get any more...i would go around finishing the beers that people left on the tables and what not...
so disgusting...even if it only had a couple sips...

i wasnt one of those drinkers who drank every night (well at first i wasnt) but i would drink and drink and drink....no matter how much alcohol i had...or how drunk i was...it wasnt enough until i blacked out or passed out...

bleh i hate alcohol.

I used to keep all my booze in my separate garage from the house. When I would go out to get another beer I would down one with a couple of shots, then come back in. Just one beer right. I got smart?! and bought a kegerator so I could have keg beer at home. Drank all day but only had 'one' beer!

I would drive miles out of my way to go to a liqour store I hadn't been to in a few day's so no one would think I was a drunk. It didn't work well because everyone knew me anyway and would say, hey haven't seen you in a little while!! Yikes, kinda like Cheers.
